INFINITEWARE announced a collaboration with The Stories Studios to develop a custom real-time sentiment AI engine, internally referred to as SSAI (Subconscious Sentiment AI), for the studio's debut title Musa: a brother's story.

Rather than relying on explicit player input, SSAI tracks behavioural signals during gameplay and infers the player's mood, emotional state, and engagement, then dynamically adapts the game's pacing and tone in response. Each playthrough becomes shaped by the specific psyche of the person holding the controller.

Ameen Altajer, then Managing Director of INFINITEWARE, said SSAI lets developers introduce very personal experiences by leveraging real-time AI inference, opening a design space that goes beyond branching narratives or simple difficulty scaling.

The SSAI engine has since matured into a reusable INFINITEWARE product, applied beyond games to interactive media and adaptive learning environments where understanding the user without intrusive instrumentation is the central design constraint.
